"Equilibrium; noun - a state of balance."

Equilibrium was composed for the Pemberton Band in 2020. This short, vibrant concert opener uses the notion of

2 contrasting "forces" operating against each other before gradually cancelling each other out to create a musical equilibrium,

inspired by the concept of positive and negative electrons in a magnetic field.

Whilst the synopsis appears quite complex in nature, the construction of the work is quite simple; in finding several  musical

"opposites" and gradually pulling them together throughout the work.
