Flame of Hope was composed for the Glossopdale Community College Wind Band and their performance at the National Festival of Music for Youth, held at Birmingham Symphony Hall. The work is a short snappy opening number, full of rhythmic drive and flourishes, suitable for a young wind band upwards!
